Within the framework of the Sino-German cooperation group, high-level cooperation will be established with various forms of scientists from both countries. The resources, information and results of the researches can be shared. The Chinese scientists can take the theories and experience developed in Germany over the past 60 years as an example for the research and design of underground energy storage facilities and develop the design concept and principles applicable to the Chinese geological conditions and properties of rock salt, taking into account the Chinese requirements.
At the same time, the research results on the properties of Chinese rock salt with high impurity content will serve as references for the German scientists. This will enable a comparative analysis between the properties of rock salt in Germany and in China. The cooperation also supports the entry of German industry into the large Chinese oil market. Through this cooperation, China can skip some development phases by learning from the industrialized countries and thus achieve higher energy efficiency, i.e. lower emissions, more quickly.
